Container desiccant is a sorbent static dehumidification. Its working principle is to absorb water molecules into the own structure in physical mode, or absorbs water molecules in chemical mode and then changes its own chemical structure into another substance.

Generally, the amount of moisture present in the air is dependent on the Temperature and the Relative Humidity of the ambient air at the time. During the container shipment, there is a great difference in temperature between 0 and 80 so that the RH can be moved to approximately 98%. When the temperature low to cold, the moisture is released from the air and condenses onto the cargo and the inside surfaces of the container, which will cause damage or deterioration to the products in the container. Therefore, it needs right container desiccant to control the humidity.
